I'm thinking about buying a couple of small mono flash units and I was
wanting some opinions.

The choices I have are:

Prolinca (Elinchrom)
Redwing (Bowens)
SLS
and a chinese made one "Golden Eagle".

Does anyone have any experience with any of these?

They all do a kit with a couple of 250w heads, stands, umbrellas etc. The
Golden Eagle is probably 30% - 40% cheaper altough the heads themselves are
about 50% of the price of the others. The kit will probably suit my needs
for the immeadiate future as I am just doing portraits in my lounge room -
just hobby stuff for my own enjoyment. I'm using Tungsten lights with
monochrome film at the moment, but want to try more colour work.

thanks,
