- All Pentax DSLRs use the same cable remote release and IR remote release. - The Canon RS60-E3 is identical in function and connector to the Pentax Cable Switch CS-205, and it's a bit cheaper. - You can also use the Canon Timer Remote Controller TC-80N3 remote release with the Pentax cameras and Rebels. It requires that you change the connector to the Pentax/Rebel type, that's all. This is a great remote if you want extended timing functions (to control the shutter for timed periods much longer than 30 seconds), extended self timer functions, and an intervalometer. Someone also makes a little switch that plugs into the Rebel/Pentax connector and allows use of a mechanical, threaded cable release. I've lost the bookmark I had for it, but I'm sure if you hunted you could find it. I recall it was about $6 ... I didn't buy one because I already had the electrical remote release.
