I just came back from dropping off eight framed and matted prints for
a gallery show. The lady who owns the gallery is a fine art
photographer who shoots film in Hassy bodies. She asked me if I knew
of a good color lab in town. Well, for many years, it was Meteor, so
I asked her if she had tried Meteor. "They're not processing film any
more," she answered. I can't find a pro lab that is still operating,"
she continued. I told her to look for some web sources. Then I talked
to her about switching to digital. BTW, she found it hard to believe
that the 12 x18 prints I brought in for the show came from a 6
megapixel camera. Me too.
