LOL ... this is funny. Oskar Barnack invented the 35mm still camera as a device to check exposure for 35mm cine work. It was then discovered that a miniature format still camera allowed a wholly different range of photographic expression and uses compared to the large and heavy still cameras of the day, and 35mm photography was born.
