Congratulations, Bruce. Please let us know how the SDM performs. I have seen a report that the production delay was caused in part by performance problems with the SDM--hunting, and problems locking focus at infinity. Reportedly Pentax did work those out before commencing shipping, but it would be good to have a user's report. Thanks. Since I knew I would be moving in late June (so I didn't know what my address would be) I did not order one early. Now, given that demand for both DA* zooms so far exceeds Pentax's production capacity, I don't know when I'll be able to get one. BTW, there is a report out of Germany that Pentax won't be able to introduce any more lenses in 2007. The three DA* lenses slated for September and December are pushed into 2008.
