Bob,
I used to drive a company provided Ford Taurus station wagon, I used
it for a couple of years, at around 6 to 9 months of usage, I began
having problems with it in a way that between 11:00am to 4:30 pm or so,
and if the date was hot ( well I live in Puerto Rico) the engine will
began loosing power and all of the sudden will shut off like with no
gas. It did it in tolls stops everywhere specially when coasting or
going into a stop. I just used to wait 30 minutes or so, and try to
start it and most of the times the engine will work like nothing had
happened. I sent the wagon to the shop and they replaced the defective
gas pump. This pump was installed inside the gas tank, but still it
was affected by temperature.
Regards
Angel Ramos
