Strange... In the description it says: "This item is manufactured at the time of order. Winning item will be shipped as soon as the lens is manufactured. The delivery time is 2 ~ 3 weeks."
Which is more likely; the seller not being entirely truthful, or that Pentax still makes this lens to Special Order? It's been gone from the catalogues for quite a while, hasn't it? Jostein ----- The FA* 600 F4 and the FA* 300 F2.8 are both made to order. Presumably this means that Pentax Japan has the components stockpiled, and assembles them into a lens when a customer orders one. I assume these lenses will be available as long as the stock of components lasts. Whan that is gone, no more will be made. You could also order this lens through ordinary retailers or the national/regional Pentax distributors...for now.
