OK, interesting question:

When I have tested AS using one of my A series zooms, I have found
that the wrong focal length setting will make the image not come out
very good. Basically, on a 35-105 set the camera to 100mm and then
zoom out to 35 - the AS doesn't compensate nearly as well as if the
body were set to 35mm.

So the question is, when using an FA/DA zoom - with AS on, what if I
zoom all the way in, focus lock/AS stabilize and then zoom out a ways
before taking the picture - does the AS continue to compensate based
on the original focal length as when the stabilize hand shows or does
it constantly take into account the change in focal length as you
zoom?

Any thoughts?
