OK, interesting question: When I have tested AS using one of my A series zooms, I have found that the wrong focal length setting will make the image not come out very good. Basically, on a 35-105 set the camera to 100mm and then zoom out to 35 - the AS doesn't compensate nearly as well as if the body were set to 35mm.
So the question is, when using an FA/DA zoom - with AS on, what if I zoom all the way in, focus lock/AS stabilize and then zoom out a ways before taking the picture - does the AS continue to compensate based on the original focal length as when the stabilize hand shows or does it constantly take into account the change in focal length as you zoom?
