Yes, that is correct. But the reason WD40 is unsuitable for the latter has 
nothing to do with it being hydroscopic or not, but due to the fact that it 
evaporates relatively quickly, making it unsuitable for long-term applications. 
Anyone who tries to protect a block for long-term storage with WD40 is an idiot 
since it will evaporate over a few weeks leaving the block unprotected.
