I agree that it's probably a replica. Blowing up the hi-res version,  
I can see that the radiator cowling appears to be a curved piece of  
thin steel that is bolted to the framework. Could be a garage- 
engineered replica. Although it might also be an early, independent  
Indy roadster. Many of those were home-built one offs. Obviously, the  
wheels and headlights were a recent addition.
