It's definitely fun, and if the muscle aches are anything to go by
it's achieving the primary purpose of getting me some exercise. I'm
lucky enough to live pretty close to two easy bike trails - Coyote
Creek and Los Alamitos Creek - and the Los Gatos Creek trail is
not too far away (although it's not in my riding radius yet, and
there are some hills on the way there, so I drive to the trail).

It was interesting to see what has happened to bike technology in
the 45 years since I (or my parents) last bought one.  This is what
is called a "comfort bike" - upright riding position, padded seat,
and suspension (!!).  All this, and 21 speeds, for only a little
more than I had to pay for a bike rack that fits on the Z4 :-(
Even with suspension forks it still weighs less than my last bike.
