Very interesting, Rob. Thanks! That looks indeed like some of what I had in mind. :-)
However, I think I would like to raise them on the flexibility. Their solution is a straight ring, while I want to retain the possibility of directing the light at will. I've been on the phone with the Norwegian company I mentioned yesterday, and they found the idea quite interesting. They will provide me with a simple unit for creating a proof of concept. Right now the main challenge is the same as William Robb described, to create a holster to fit over the flash. Also, I'll have to figure out how to hold the ends of the fibres in place. I suspect that a Cokin P adapter may be sacrificed for that purpose. :-) Jostein 2007/8/23, Digital Image Studio <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > On 23/08/07, AlunFoto <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > That's probably what I'll do eventually, but I have serious problems > > getting rid of the fibre optics idea... :-) > > Have you seen this? > > http://www.ringflash.cz/ > > -- > Rob Studdert > HURSTVILLE AUSTRALIA > Tel +61-2-9554-4110 UTC(GMT) +10 Hours > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > http://picasaweb.google.com/distudio/PESO > http://home.swiftdsl.com.au/~distudio//publications/ > Pentax user since 1986, PDMLer since 1998 > > -- > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > [email protected] > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > -- http://www.alunfoto.no/galleri/ http://alunfoto.blogspot.com -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
