Hi guys, Following my earlier post re the choice between the Bigma 50-500 ot the 100-300 + 1.4 TC things are looking good for the 50-500. I noticed that the specs say that the filter (86mm) needs to be a coarse thread.
I generally use B+W mrc uv filters but can't seem to find one on their catalog with a coarse thread. SInce I will mail order from half way across the world B&H to Malta I want to make sure I get the right type (return is an expensive proposition) This is the b&h page listing all the 86mm UV filers: http://tinyurl.com/2mcax8 the b+w units say nothing about thread type so I am under the assumption that they are not "coarse thread".
