Sometimes that's true. Or almost true. About 20 years ago I owned a house. To save real estate fees, tried selling it myself, without a real estate agent. The ex-wife and I decided that if we didn't sell in 4 weeks, we'd contact an agent. Sure enough, a month later, no sale, so in comes a broker. She says, "You're asking way too low a price." She bumps it up by about $30K, within a week we finalize an offer for $20K ~more~ than our original ~asking~ price, which, even after broker fees gives us $10K more than we originally asked... cheers, frank -- "Sharpness is a bourgeois concept." -Henri Cartier-Bresson -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
