That is an easy one. You are born, you breed, you die. Just like every other living thing. That is natures big secret. Every once in a while she has what is born made slightly different than what bred to see if it will work better. A bit of trial and error.
Of course most folks can not accept that because they want to be something special. So like a lonely child they invent an imaginary friend to take care of them. Then some bright guy who doesn't really believe in that imaginary friend claims to be able to speak for it. And religion is born.
