I have fond memories of the times when I shot only auto or manual flash with a Honeywell Strobonar 990 and a big 500+ volt battery. Near instant recycling, great power and very accurate auto exposure. And that's a 25 year old flash setup. (I still have it, but I don't think it works any more. Plus the batteries are expensive and hard to find.) But if I shoot another wedding, I think I'll use my AF400T in auto mode with a Quantum battery. Reliable and predictable.
