Assuming I have the right lenses the Tamron and Pentax product don't appear
to be exactly the same. i.e. they do not appear to be rebadging, however
they do look similar which probably belies their manufacturer. also of note
is that this is an SMCP lens which means it uses Pentax patented coatings
(perhaps the technology is licensed to Tamron as well though). anyway, judge
for yourself and  take a look at the specs of the two side by side:
