Really? I would hope that the reasons for my posts on the PDML are pretty easily understood: I usually post questions or responses to questions (information and opinion) concerning photographic matters on a Photography centered mailing list. I often post photographs for the purpose of delighting or obtaining critique from other members. Whether you need to know it or not, those are the implied purposes for the existence of such a forum. I don't often follow a comment like "Hey folks, I just bought this great new lens and my other lenses are now for sale since I don't use them anymore" with "I don't like the new lenses because they don't work with my old cameras." That's something of a point of interest, maybe, but isn't really germaine to the point of the original message.
