I would like to add that any autofocus system is going to be more effective at not only brighter light levels or faster fstops but also with higher quality optics. Hence, some slower lenses may work just as well as faster ones at same light level if they are of extra high quality ( i.e. primes vs zooms or mediocre third party vs oem or Pentax lenses ). jco
