Doesn't seem to do the trick. It makes faded edge, nothing seamless about 
that.
Arg. Any other sugestions?

I choosed 1pix, at a full size image. A bad choose I presume.

Feather the selction.

Select>Feather and enter a pixel radius suitable to the image size.
