That's my impression as well (albeit the other way around).  Back in
2003 I borrowed a D100 from a friend for a forthcoming trip to the UK.
I found the Nikon straightforward to use, as it was very similar to
the PZ-1p I was used to (the Pentax body that was the first to use the
two-wheel interface used on the *ist D and K10D digital bodies).
