Hello all Pentaxers! What I'm about to write would not be anything new to many of you but I just want to share it. Yesterday I went with fellow snappers from my town for a little photo trip. Weve spent a whole day walking through the parts of our city that still remained close to how nature formed them. Some stuff created by men also got its way onto films. It was a very pleasent experience for me as it was first trip of that kind that I've attended. The weather was very kind - it was raining on Friday, it is massivly cloudy today (Sunday) but the Saturday was really sunny but really cold - the night before was the first with temperature below zero degrees (C) and during the day it didn't get much warmer. I found in a brutal way that my jacket is a winter jacket but only inside the car but despite this I really enjoyed the day. Hopefully among all the shots I've made there will be something worth of PUG.
Apart from picture taking pleasure I was faced with another pleasure. One of my friends has brought a LX he bought last month or so. That was my firs time to play with this camera but I'm allready sure I love it. Despite all the problems it can show because of it's age I really liked it's feel and the way it worked. In this comparision my MX look like junk - because there is more. This LX is nearly new: the owner told us of how he wanted to complain for something in the shop so he picked the subject of scratched bottom plate, but guess what - it wasn't the plate that was scratched but the protective foil they put on new equipment. The camera is in outstanding condition. The sad thing about it is the story behind the purchase. On monday morning someone posted on Polish news group that there is a LX in a second hand store in Poznan (that's where I live). So I thought - okey, after work I'm going to see it. Than about noon someone writes it is allready gone. It was sold for 2000PLN (about USD500). And now, when I've seen it I know that this afternoon, if it was still there I would buy it, despite the fact that it would hit my plastic hard. Not to make it too long - I just wanted to share with you with a joy of photographing and handling an LX. I understand now, why LX is so loved.
