Hi Bob, thanks for your thoughts about this matter. The current going
prices for an FA* 80-200 mm. 2.8 in good shape in the last few months,
with slight signs of use and without the original lens pouch or box are
between 1420 and 1500 euros, being 2000 euros the biggest price I have
seen in the last 3 months, in this case for a boxed, like new unit; so I
don't think it is a high price although I understand that others may
think otherwise.

I can provide pictures for a prospective buyer to see the condition of
the lens and judge by himself/herself. As I said the blemish is very
small, and apart from that the lens is in like new condition, but I
always try to describe what I'm trying to sell the best I can, as some
members of this list I have sold several items to can attest.

When I want to sell a Pentax-related item I always try the list first,
because I prefer dealing with known list members and that way I also can
avoid going to Ebay. I know it is rather difficult to sell this lens to
a list member, for several reasons. Most list members are bargain
hunters (like myself), and the ones who want, need or can afford this
lens already own it.

Best wishes,

Carlos
