I'm a little frustrated here. Dell shipped my system with a 60GB hard drive but no partitioning. They installed Ontrack Disk Manager to handle the whole drive as a single partition. Well, suffice it to say that I was dismayed to learn they had used "Disk Mangler"! It doesn't peacefully co-exist with some of Systemworks utilities (like Disk Optimizer) and now I have to face the task of removing it. I did that several years ago and it took some serious doing.
I want to partition the drive into at least five 10GB partitions so I can run a multiple boot machine. Now I'll have to reinstall everything from scratch, as well as dispose of the Ontrack boot sector from hell. Otherwise, Partition Magic would have been able to repartition the drive without losing anything. I'm not a happy camper. I'll probably be able to work it all out but I know that sh-t happens and it will probably take a long time to get things running right.
