The original DRebel has a viewfinder similar to the 
*istDL/DL2/K100D/K110D, 95% coverage Pentamirror with about a .8x 
magnification (The Nikon D40/D40X has simiar specs as does the KM 5D and 
Sony A100). The *istD/DS/DS2/K10D viewfinder is larger and brighter, 
almost an exact match for the new Canon 40D(And the Nikon D200 & D80). 
The DRebel XT and XTi have a greatly inferior finder to all of the above.
