It is a bit washed out.  I was using manual exposure so I just kept it
set on (for example) f5.6 at 1500 and checked it every so often to be
sure it was till working.  Since it was morning, the light changed
gradually.  

That "diagonal stick" is distracting.  I have no scruples at all about
removing stuff but I haven't taken the time yet <g>.  I coudl just crop
it out, but I like have the main subject off center with the field
stretching out behind.  I'll play with it.

Hmmm I find the appearnace on my screen is a bit too light - nice 
capture but , um, that long slender
twig on the left is drawing my eye away...  maybe this is less 
troublesome to someone with better
eyesight.... otoh  I hate removing stuff like that in photoshop - not 
from the technical stand point but
from my reluctance to manipulate photos  

It is where the twig intersects with the dirt behind it that it leaps 
out....
