Yep - probably 1.6x time further...  Not to get overly
technical but the lens is not magnifying the image
more, rather you are framing the image onto a smaller
sensor, so a subject that would only fill part of the
frame at a certain distance now fill the whole frame.
because the frame (sensor) is smaller than with a film
camera.

One the converse, if you use a 6x7 medium format
camera, a 100mm functions more a 50mm lens on a 35mm
camera...

Yep - the crop factor is great for telephoto and close
up work - not so great for wide angles where you need
a really short focal length...
