I don't know what you see as so "disappointing" in this snapshot. Can you articulate?
The 4/3 System sensor is 13.5x18mm. I don't know what "press releases" say about it, nor has the review press been overly enthusiastic about it, but the Digilux3/L1 siblings are in fact excellent performers. Many of the photos I've presented here this year are taken with the L1 and been given fairly enthusiastic response.
