I've found that there are a number of Russian sites which are dedicated to simply posting interesting/funny/sad/noteworthy/sexy/ whatever photos on a regular basis. Without browsing the rest of that site I can't speak for them but it's quite possible that someone found these, thought "these are great portraits" and wanted to share. Or, you could be right and it's a slam at America but I don't see that. Ultimately, someone took those portraits for some purpose... almost certainly with the consent of the subjects. But without knowing the photographer's intent or what the subjects are thinking it's really difficult (for me) to make a judgement one way or the other about the WHY of the photos. Visually - I found them interesting, well done, and striking. Good enough for me. -Charles -- Charles Robinson - [EMAIL PROTECTED] Minneapolis, MN http://charles.robinsontwins.org -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
