I wasn't going to, but was having a lot of difficulty with the WB presets (for the 1Dmk3) in Capture One. Had downloaded the trial when I got my new Vista laptop. Thought there were some nice features in it but I still can't get used to using it. Silly really. It's not hugely different from C1 but just enough to be irritating. The feature to add keywords at download is nice, but now everything I downloaded has the same keywords associated with them because it remembered them all from the first time and I didn't change them (cos I wasn't paying attention) sigh.
Wendy =============== It has some features that are non-obvious. I find version 1.2 easier to use and understand, though. Go to Adobe and update to 1.2 if yours is earlier than that. I've been looking for a good book and found two, one by Scott Kelby whom I am not sure I like. The other one was released for version 1.0 and it has an online PDF for an update. I am looking for more obsure help than the basic "how-to-use" stuff. So neither sounds really like one what I would like -- but I suspect there will be some new books out soon to update to 1.2. Keywords seem to have to be added later. Mainly, for now, I am just trying to organize my pictures on disc, without doing any sort of "collections." I ran across some basic tutorials that helped a lot. I think Godfrey posted the link. http://www.photoshopuser.com/lightroom/index.html The ones that are helpful are 1/2 way down the page. One of the videos, for me, pooped out, didn't finish to the end, but the rest seem okay. Organizing the library takes time, no doubt about it. Good luck.
