I have a 250mb external Zip. I don't use it hardly at all because my computer room is a disaster area. It's hard to get behind the computer and sort through the rat's nest of cables. It's easier to just fill up a hard drive, and then delete stuff I don't want. :-)
Sharing lot's of images is a good use though. Although CD-R/RW might not require recipients to also have a Zip.
