>My first inkjet printer was the Epson Photo EX >(the first A3 with 6 color inks) and the estimates (by Wilhelm-Reseach) on >photo >paper were 1.5-2 years only, but I've had a printout hanging on my office >wall under >glass for about 3-4 years without noticeable fading.
I concur. Although a nice print under glass of our two cats' faces hung in the hall right next to a door full of glass that catches the sun every day (partly as a test) faded readily to greens and yellows in a year. Another print hung on the same wall as a window, but not in direct line of sight of the window looks as good as the day it was printed - nearly three years ago. In fact all my other prints look just fine. Except for those trimmed to fit exactly to the size of the clipframe - you get a faded border eventually. I trim now to at least half an inch of the edge of the glass. Cotty PS - when I say that we catch the sun every day, it's a figure of speech - I *am* in England... _______________________________________________________ Personal email traffic to [EMAIL PROTECTED] MacAds traffic to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Check out the UK Macintosh ads www.macads.co.uk - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
