Like anyone, they screw up once in a while.

I've experienced the "we forgot to notify you we cancelled your order" 
thingy, although it wasn't because the vendor changed the prices on 'em 
... it was because the item became unavailable at any cost; no more, all 
gone, none left, we looked everywhere, sorry 'bout that.

As I said, I've had an occasional problem with both of them. Neither of 
them is perfect. But in every case, the problem was eventually resolved 
in a manner I found acceptable.

On the whole, both companies give good service, and good value for your 
money. They both take their customer service obligations seriously and 
try to deserve your business.

Both have supplied items I wanted or needed that I couldn't obtain 
locally, and I wouldn't hesitate to order from either in the future 
(given that I first try to buy from my local independent stores, if I 
can, before ordering from the big NYC mail-order houses).
