I guess you won't need any help imagining me wrapped in bandages after your visit last year :) The van thing could have turned out quite badly. I think if it wasn't there I may have had the space to rescue my loss of balance but instead I had to try not to hit it (I was coming into it from about a 45-degree angle, towards its side). If I was going much faster I'd have probably been in a lot more trouble. I do remember my hand coming awfully close to one of the wheels and it did hit something quite hard, but I think if it was run over I'd have had a few more broken bones to worry about. There is definitely a little internal bruising but I don't often notice it. The van driver got out and spent a couple of minutes making sure I was OK before he carried on.
