Godfrey, Thanks for the advice. I intend to use it on both film and digital. I know the hood won't provide great protection for digital, but I really want the reversable bayonet mounting rather than a thread-mounted hood (and likewise a petal hood rather than a circular). I suspect I may end up machining a custom 1.5X hood at some point, but I'd like to just buy the OEM one for now if I can.
