Howdy, folks, Well I ran into the local Pentax rep this Saturday at the camera "superstore" downtown. It was my first chance to hold a lot of really cool gear, well behind the curve. He had the "Golden Section" screen, FA* 200/4, FA* 400/5.6, the Limiteds, and a couple of MZ-S bodies. Heck, it was even the first time I'd actually touched a PZ-1p.
It was, in a way, a mistake for me to go. My "stuff to get" list just increased by an MZ-S body or two. :-) I already knew I needed to get the FA 200/4 and FA 400/5.6 and limited lenses, but I had hoped to hold out on bodies with a used ZX-5n ... not anymore. I'm as impressed by the MZ-S as anybody. Even on the FA* 200/4 the AF was pretty quick, which is a bad test with the long "throw" from infinity to macro. He also had a trunkful of trinkets and I'm becoming a walking advertisement for Pentax. He gave me all kinds of stuff, from a little single-AAA-cell MagLite and a "space pen" to a really awesome 75th anniversary baseball jersey and a fanny pack big enough to hold a body with up to maybe a 135mm lens. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to turn all of that nifty stuff into "contributions" toward the FA 200 and FA 400 and MZ-S! TTYL, DougF - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
