Here's my basic thoughts on the shots that struck me:

Sailboat on a sparkling ocean by Steven Sharpe

A strong image, made so by three simple elements. Light on the water adds
even more. Nice! My favorite of the gallery.

Very nice. It strikes me that some judicious cropping could fine tune it a
little.

Different Worlds by frank theriault

I don't like the image subjectively. I also wish there was more space on
the right of the subject's shoe. Looks skewed because of the line over BMO.
Maybe should be straightened. Like I said, while I don't like it, because I
couldn't care less about the subject matter, the image is still a strong one
and deserves mention. Don't take it hard, Frank. :-)

Master and pupils by Henk Terhell

Lovely lighting and tonal quality. Oh for Hank's sake. If only the
subject's leg was not cut off, I'd give it an A!

Upstairs, Downstairs by Jaume Lahuerta

Very strong image! I like it. Needs a slight rotation CCW. My favorite of
the ones in the themed category.

Spring and Fall by Rick Womer

A liitle soft in the foreground and it really begs for a polarizer to cut
the glare on the left large leaf. Composition-wise, it's lovely.
