I've had the day off work, and happened to be in the area so I went to
the exhibition this afternoon. It is superb, as usual, although I
don't think the winner is the best in the show. 

One of the things that always amuses me is the captions. Some of them
have wonderful throwaway comments in them, which I think must be
deliberate in some cases:

"I was leading a photographic expedition to Antarctica..."
"I was on assignment in the Sandwich Islands..."
"My favourite location for swans is Lake Kushiro in Hokkaido..."
"I was working on assignment in Chad..."
"I was flying over Baffin Island on assignment to photograph
narwhals..."

Makes yer sick... 

"I'd saved for years to afford a long weekend at CenterParc..."
