Back in the early days after the WTC collapse there were quite a few messages dealing with the technical reasons, design considerations that may have contributed, etc.
There is an article in the current New Yorker on the subject, with interviews with a number of structural engineers on design philosophy in modern high-rise construction compared with older approaches, etc. (Including the structural engineer who did the WTC.) Quite interesting, for those who might be interested in that sort of thing. http://www.newyorker.com/FACT/ Bob - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
