Yup more than once...
That is the lack of memory kicking in... and not reading the credits.  

I actually like watching mysteries on film more than reading them for 
the most part back when I was reading more.
But my partner Richard turned me on to Ngiao Marsh and i read about 20 
of those - also, Ross McDonald.   But
until 1980 when he and I started living together I don't think I read 
one mystery - well, except Nancy Drew when I
was 10 years old. :)  

There is probably a list somewhere of her books that became films
