I've seen a lot of testing and reviews and have never seen anything saying that. While the 100/3.5 is a good cheap macro the words cheap are also in there. And it's MTF ratings (all are made by Cosina, including the Pentax and the Vivitar) are not up to that of either of the old Vivitar Series 1 Macro lenses. Kent Gittings

The price seems a bit high, 230 US$, but the lens is brand new in the box... Anybody has it? Is it a good performer? I have an old issue of a magazine that compares 14 macro lenses around 100mm, and this one is stated to be a great performer (it came fourth after the Leica Makro Elmarit, the Zeiss Makro Planar and the Nikon.
