John, not arguing with your statements, but in several posts you
consistently seem to imply that I or Jack feel that a 'message' is an
important part of a photograph.  Not speaking for Jack, but that is exactly
the opposite of what I feel.

In the Minimalist genre we're talking about, it's when people seem to make
up messages about the photograph, ignoring most true criteria for judging,
and then pronounce the photograph as superior, that I have a little
heartburn. In that case it's their imagination getting in the way of better
judgement.
