The Pentax A* 200/4 ED IF macro sold new for $950 US at B&H and other repuitable mail-order companies. It always held its value well on the second hand market. I've rarely seen them for sale second-hand, and the two or three I've seen sold were priced a little over $800. I don't have any info handy on the newest Pentax AF 200/4 macro. They are both great lenses.
