I prefer the original. While the pot might be somewhat unfortunate,  
eliminating the railing makes the shot feel unbalanced. And while I  
might crop a bit off the top of the original, I would preserve the  
upper porch railing. The pot was largely unnoticed by me. But if I  
really felt it was a problem. I would clone it out. An interesting  
problem to be sure. And great light, as many have said.
