Nice pictures, Charles.

The A28/2.8 was my first Pentax lens. I had it in my hand a week  
before I owned a Pentax camera. It's not at it's best wide open, but  
by f/4-5.6 it is extremely sharp. But it has some of the very nicest  
bokeh of any Pentax lens I've owned, and that includes the Limiteds.  
I found it better than the FA31 and nearly on par with the FA43 in  
this respect. The advantage of the Limiteds, by comparison, is that  
they perform better wide open.

I sold the A28 eventually, just as I've sold nearly all my older  
lenses in exchange for the current series Limiteds. But I always  
think of the A28/2.8 fondly .. It was a near perfect match for the  
*ist DS as a "use all the time" wide-normal.
