Brilliant day and a nice break from recent, but much needed, rains. A pro friend has gotten me into hawks at this point. Am linking a crop from the middle of a shot of a Red-shouldered hawk taken with my trusty FA 80~320. It's serving me well so far, but am anxious to eventually get the DA* 60~250 which, I understand, MAY be available in the spring of '08. I have no serious intention of becoming 'a wildlife photographer' accept on a very casual basis. If I were, I'd be thinking 600mm minimum. All this type of shot takes is being there and shaking the target somewhere within the frame, little PS and cropping. Does give one the feeling of a true "capture", however.
Jack All comments welcome! http://photolightimages.com/aspupload/detail.asp?ID=276 ========== Nice one, Jack! Good framing on bird and his (gory) breakfast. Marnie aka Doe :-) Sometimes I'd rather not know. --------------------------------------------- Warning: I am now filtering my email, so you may be censored. **************************************See AOL's top rated recipes (http://food.aol.com/top-rated-recipes?NCID=aoltop00030000000004) -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
