Oh, if only it disengaged the cam. I've been doing a bit of shooting
with a Minolta Maxxum 7, which can be configured to disengage the cam
when the AF button is pressed, and it's invaluable. This was part of
my brief foray into considering an A700 (Something I still might buy,
best ergonomics I've come across).
