Prinzflex was a name used for a minor third-party lens manufacturer (maybe East 
German) in the 60's and 70's.  I believe they were distributed by chains in the 
UK such as Dixons, Wallace Heaton, etc, and I don't think the quality was all 
that good.

M42 was the standard Pentax/Praktica screw-mount designation - a thread 1mm x 
42mm
