I'm going through some old diaries lately. I'm doing a sort of point
form list of the work i have done the past 34 years in the survey
business, for what i hope to be, a memoir book. Don't hold your
breath, its taken me 5 years just to get this far:-)

Oct 1997, i purchased a Kodak DC25 digital camera. Held 8 pictures on
board and could take a 2 Meg
CF card for an additional 20 or so pictures. I forget the actual
number, but it was not much.

The camera took 640 x 480 pictures and used some Kodak software to
process from their formate to jpg.

The camera was $419 plus taxes and the card was $280 plus taxes. So,
for $700 plus taxes, what do we get these day. Some pretty decent
gear, i would say.

Just thought that was amusing to say the least.
