HIm Christine -- yeah the desaturation helped a lot... I like the BW best... But your walkabout shots are of more interest to me... because of the time-warp factor... I'll confess to responding strongly to subject matter on it's own that warms my ability to make helpful comments when people that photos of things I think are hideous :) :) the apartment building in the foreground being my choice for awfulness - especially in a city so filled with really wonderful architecture.
I'll pass on the booze and the fizzy - never heard of it but "fizzy" is something I dont do either.
